I'm helping my brother plan his suspension upgrades and the only problem is that I only know Chevelles. This is for a 99% street car with a small block.
After reading the threads on here I think we finally have a game plan and will be doing it in stages. How do you think this looks?
Stage 1:
1. Bilstein Shocks all the way around
2. Composite or fiberglass rear mono-spring?
3. Front coil springs
4. Bigger sway bars (1-1/8" and 5/8")
Stage 2:
1. Struts
2. Front control arms
3. Front mono-sping
i did my suspension in stages also. take a look at Vette Brakes and Products and try and replicate one of their kits as far as your budget will allow. they do a really good job with different kits for the driving characteristics you may be trying to attain. if i had to do it again id just order a complete kit and call it a day.

Your stage 1 is one of the Vette Brakes suspension kits. They have a couple of different kits depending on how you plan to drive the car. I have the Street & Slalom kit on my car (not sure if the name has changed - the one with 550# coils, composite rear spring, Bilstein Sport shocks and big sway bars) and for normal driving it is great on smooth roads. Bumpy roads can be a challenge if you like to be comfortable, but my seat cushions also need to be replaced. I prefer handling to comfort in the Vette anyway so I don't mind. I didn't build it to be a 1972 Cadillac.
Van Steel also has some suspension kits that are slightly different from the VB&P kits.
