Since the brake fluid is on the rotor & inside of the rim can I assume it is most likely caliper seals and/or o-rings? They are SS sleeved VBP rotors IIRC. Haven't even driven the car yet
If these calipers were recently installed, do not assume that the caliper is the problem. The rear calipers have two bleeders, a plug and a fitting for the brake line. Check them all out before you think about removing a caliper and returning it.
After removing the wheel, clean the caliper thoroughly with "brake clean" and wipe it down good or blow it dry. Have someone sit in the car and pump the brakes and hold the pedal while you look. Check around every bleeder, plug and line as well as looking down into the caliper near the pistons. You will see fluid leaking from somewhere. Also check the seam at the bottom of the caliper where the two halves bolt together. A leak here normally means the O-ring between the two halves was not positioned correctly when the halves were bolted together.
Once you've discovered the source of the leak, then decide if the caliper needs to be returned or if the problem can be solved by tightening a line or fitting.
Mine was pretty obvious, they were leaking from the center o-ring. The paint was eaten away there. always a good idea to paint them then you can determine the leak. This is a common problem from what i have read on this site.
