Got a ls1, and it runs and idles great, but some times when I try to start it this is what happens "turn the key on.your hear the fuel pump kick in,crank it ,the motor trys to turn on,crank it again then POP POP(from each exhaust),crank it again and fires right up."what could it be i've checked everything.

popping or a backfire from the exhaust usually means there is raw fuel in the exhaust system that is ignited by starting the engine...
Interesting...how can this be solved? I'm running o2 sensors too
im assuming it is an injected engine??.....if so, you could have an injector leaking down or something in the computer delivering fuel at the wrong time....
if a cylinder fills wit fuel and dumps it into the exhaust while not on the firing stroke, this will ignite at start up and cause a pop or backfire and maybe even stall the engine
