Default Body removal 1980 ??

After removing the 6 body mounts and engine wiring connections and steering knuckle connection and shift **** and assorted wiring...
What else needs to be unhooked before the body is removed?
Thanks

Hi BJ,
Still a pretty long list I think. I'll start with:
Brake lines from the master cylinder.
Radiator hoses.
Battery cable and battery ground cable. (or is that part of 'assorted wiring?)
Engine ground cable.
Shifter connection.
And....
Good Luck as you continue. What are your plans once it's off?
Regards,
Alan

AC lines to the evaporator, overflow tank line, vacuum lines through the firewall, just to name a few and I know there's more.

There should also be a cable connecting frame to body around the bottom seatbelt plates.

You also have a body mount at the front middle of the nose above the vacuum canister.

you don't need to disconnect AC lines unless you want to pull the radiator/condenser. That stuff will stay with the body, no conn to frame. I found it best to leave radiator and support frame conn to body as it provides support for front end.

Also, on my '80 there was no cable connected to frame at seat belt bolts.

I would like to get together with you 2 guys if ya'll meet up. I'm 3.5 hours away, have an 80 model and would like to see yours with the body off.
By the way- you have 8 body mounts, not 6 like was stated earlier. 4 on each side, check your shop manual.

For BigJim and others about to embark on this type of project here are some photos of my body-off-fix-the-mounts project.

The help I'm getting in those photos comes from our Houston C3 Club which is a "working" club. Minimal social, no dues, more about helping each other on these projects, and driving/cruising our C3s. Here is our forum FYI.

Four of our members exhibited their cars at the Corvette-Chevy Expo in downtown Houston.
