The TT II's with the grey centers arrived a couple of days ago. I mounted one of my Comp TA's on a wheel for a test fitting. The tires clear everthing with ease. I will try to post a picture. The wheels are 15x8 with 3.75 back spacing, tires are Comp TA's 255-60's. [IMG][/IMG]
Pat: I sent you a E-mail with a couple of pictures attached. Let me know if you didn't get them. I only have one mounted now (used to check fit), I plan on mounting the others this week. On AR web page it said plan on 8 to 12 weeks to get these wheels, things must be slow because mine only took 4 weeks. Overall I am pleased, I now have the TT D look without the caliper clearance problem. These wheels can be ordered with any width and offset .
Congrats on your new wheels :) . I'm sure they'll look great :yesnod: . If AR offered these wheels when I bought mine, I may have gone that root, but at least I can enjoy what I have for now & if I ever get tried of plishing I'll have the centers done gray :D . Can't wait to see the pics.
If you go to americanracing.com you will find that they will make these wheels (model CL205) for in 15x10,7,8,and 20x10. I couldn't find any 17's on the web page in this model.
Thanks for moving that picture from the web site to the forum. I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Setting up and posting on the web site was the best I could do. I had never seen a set of these wheels on a car or at a speed shop, only in print pictures. For us Corvette guys it's a way to get that TT D look without using spacers, long studs, grinding calipers or any of the other bandade fixes I have heard of. I feel the wheels were worth the wait and the expense . It gives the 60's muscle car look all us ageing babyboomers are trying to regain.
Are they fairly light-weight wheels (like the old Weld-Wheels)? Just wondering, 'cause my cousin has heavy Cragars on a '70 SS Nova, but is looking for something similar with lighter weight.
