Default Quick question about the front bumper brace

skirt seals. Which side of the skirt do they go on? Front of the skirt or the wheel side? Thought they went on the front & saw a picture recently that showed them on the wheel side.

These seals

Thanks

Jim

If you feel like your getting ripped off for your retainer "U" clips, make some yourself by using stainless steel welding rod for a welding supply house. I found this works really well and looks like original whan done properly

Hi Jim,
I believe they are mounted on the wheel side of the front apron.
That's where they were on my 71, and they're shown that way in the AIM. The drawing is a bit miss-leading but when you look at the arrow for part #8 seal-brace, you can see a cut-line in the apron which signifies that you're seeing the seal on the other side of the apron. The outline for the seal sould be a broken line but its not which confuses things more.
UPC 11 SHEET A7
Regards,
Alan

Using my original fenders as a template I mounted them on the wheel side. I would also think it seals better from road dirt mounted this way.
