I have an 80 coupe also. I just am not that fond of the 75's blunt tail, I'm OK with the front, I just like the 80 better. Personal preference, kinda like chocolate or vanilla. The 80 style bumper for the 75 isn't exactly like an 80, but it has a similar appearance.
Will the nose off of a 75-79 fit on a 1980? I am starting to dislike the front look of my car.
I don't like the 80 front end either. It's a little weird that you can put a 80 front end on a 73-79 but cannot for an 80-82. I call the 80-82 vettes chin draggers. I have an 80-82 rear bumper on my vehicle.

I have a 81 with a 79 nose on it seems to fit fine ,how ever I didn,t install it it was onthe car when I bought it,I did add a pace car spoiler looks good.

And some chrome bumper owners don't like our rubber bumpers. Of course some C2 owners don't like C3's. It's all personal preference.
Nice thing about a rubber bumper car is you can bolt on a different face and tail any time you want to change the looks.

You must have a front clip off of a 79 because the fenders are way different on an 80. 75 through 79 the bumpers all fit the same.
been here, I have a 79 and put the 80-82 front & rear bumper on it. Good amount of work, but because it's personal preference it was worth it to me. My car was getting repainted anyway and had to purchase new front and rear bumpers so the patch panel were an extra $100 along with some work and trading some under the car front framing pieces with another forum member. sometimes I wonder if it would've been better just buying an 80-82 car but there are a couple of downfalls with that too. My car was fairly unmolested for 30+ yrs and didn't want to trade for possibly some large suprises. Just got painted and it was worth it.
