I got my brackets mounted for the serpentine system I'm putting in my 72. The good news is everything fits without any issues. Hood clearance is great and the crank pulley clears the crossmember with about 1/2" to spare.
I've searched the web and any number of GM product forums but can't find anything that tells me how much to torque the bracket mounting bolts. If anyone has a service manual for a GM product of late 90s vintage, would you be kind enough to post the torque for the AC bracket-to-block mounting bolts, the alt/PS bracket-to-block bolts, and the PS pump-to-bracket bolts?
Thanks in advance for any help, and Happy New Year to all.
Tighten the bolts till they strip, then back off 1/4 turn.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. With a username like wydglydrydr (Wide Glide Rider, right? Took me a few beats to figure that one out.), I figured you'd have a sense of humor.
Very good. Some folks pick up on it right away, others never see it. I've also got a Street Glide and a Bad Boy, but I just couldn't come to grips with badboyrydr. So much for a sense of humor!
