I believe its 5/8-18 but I needed to buy some adapters for my 81 because on the new heads I'm using, the treaded hole bigger 1/2 inch NPT so I went to Home Depot and my temp sensor fits into a 1/2 inch NPT to 3/8 inch NPT reducer. Paid $5.00 for two brass fittings.
