New Wiring Harness
I am thinking about installing new wiring harnesses on my 80, but with the cost involved will most likely do it a little at a time. For the most part my existing harnesses look okay, but there are some "Bubba" splices and wires not on the schematics running rampant on this car. Can someone tell me what each harness controls? I am mainly concerned about the ones in the engine bay and the dash. I appreciate everyones help.

You can lay the old harness on the floor and carefully replace and repair that harness. Its one of those "one wire" at a time deals. Have had to do it and its do-able for sure just takes time. Once done and retaped it will look as good as any and work---won't cost as much either! time and a diagram will do it--

I just replaced the forward light harness(which has the alternator wire and carb wires), engines harness(wiper motor, heat, AC, distributor), Starter extension, battery leads all from Lectric Limited...The harnesses were an amazing replacment from what bubba had done...All factory connectors...basically factory exact. Can't wait to do the dash harness one day.
