Default electrical help

hey guys
I need to know where to plug in a connector. One end is connected to the back of the speedo and the other end has a 1"x 2" blue connection box. I cant for the life of me find where that blue box plugs into. Any suggestions? 81 vette
Thanks

no it doesnt go to the light switch. the connector looks like it has electrical components inside like diodes or resistors.
