Fiber Optics through fiewall
I am restoring my 1970 LT1. I came across a small problem on the location of the Fiber Optics harness where it goes through the firewall. Should it be located below or above the fuse box? Thanks for any information and pics.

My '69 goes below the fuse box. The cable should have a factory rubber grommet on it that will indicate the correct size hole.
If you remove the splash shield you can easily see it from below.
Good Luck, Ed

Hi RT,
On my 71 the fiber optics bundle separates from the wrapped wires about 8" from the end of the forward lighting harness and passes through the firewall in a hole about 3" below the fuse box connections. There is a round rubber grommet on the fiber optics bundle that seals the hole.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Alan
Hi Ed, you beat me while I was in the garage seeing how far below the fuse connections the hole is.
