help with factory options
just curious what a few of these options mean on my 78...
D1B - gear, speedo driven (3987920)
E5Z - adapter, speedo (delete)
E6E - sleeve, speedo (345215)
E9Z - key, speedo (delete)

Where did you get those codes? They are not regular production options (RPOs). But I will take a guess. Canada went metric in 1977. For the automotive industry that meant September of 1977 for the introduction of the 1978 model year. Thus I suspect that those parts were for the new metric speedo and odometer conversion as seen below.
