I had a Durango with the same tires. P265 65-16's I believe. I replaced them at 65,000 miles. Not because they were worn out, because they were cracking from dry rot. They had run of the mill air in them their whole life.

I hear you, mine were'nt dry rotted at all, and I don't think there's any conclusions to be drawn from either case. It is normal however, for aircraft and race teams to run nitorgen, plus many fleet managers (not all) run it in trucks and heavy equipment. There has to be reasons for these folks to do it, air is certainly cheaper, and fleet managers don't do stuff just cause. I will also tell you that yesterday at the Goodyear dealer, they said Goodyear doesn't believe running nitrogen is necessary. It may not be as bennificial in a street car as it is in heavy trucks, but based on what I know about it, it's an option I choose for my vehicles, I see no down side to doing so.
