So as some may know ive been doing an lsx swap in my car. i had to put my project on hold cause of the weather and work and school. But yesterday i had a chance to pull my motor out to see whats wrong with it and after 5 hours i got it back in the car working!
now im gonna start working on the fuel and water plumbing. Any one know what kinda inline fuel pump would work? I saw a summit pump for 130 bucks would that work?
next question is whats a good wireing harness to use? 5.7 or 5.3?
I'm using a Walbro inline with the C5 regulator, works great, not too noisy, I have it all mounted along the rear frame rail using a picture posted in the LS swap sticky. I used the stock fuel line to the front, capped the old return and ran another return from the regulator set up to the tank.
Walbro 255 inline pump. Check ebay for deals, under $90. Use it with an 02 vette filter/regulator (Oreileys $20).
Harness depends on what your setup is DBW, which injectors, etc...

can you link me that walbro 255 pump? I have both TB im thinking i want to do drive by cable. So will i need a 5.7 harness? or can i use the 5.3 harness and not plug in the DBW plug?
Searh "walbro 255 inline". Here's one with mounts, fittings, etc http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WALBR...item25603cc201
You need an ecu that will work with cable vs DBW, which do you have. If you swap over to cable, you'll also need to add an IAC.

Okie cool. now can i use an ecu from a 5.7 if im trying to run ls1 fuel rails?
I found a wiring harness on ebay for a 5.3 going for a hundred bucks. so i placed a bid on it. i just want to make sure im ordering the right parts. that walbro pump also i ordered that too.
You can use a lot of things together but it can get complicated and expensive.
List what you have now (engine, year, harness, TB, etc) and what you want to do.

So what i got now
5.3 motor from a 03 silverado
ls1 intake manifold
ls6 stock z06 cam
ls1 oil pan
corvette crank pully
Honestly, your best bet would have been to get the engine, computer, harness, sensors, TAC, pedal, etc from the same vehicle.
Some ecus can be programmed to work with cable or DBW, some cant.
And changing a DBW to cable harness is probably not cost effective.
If you use an f body harness/ecu for cable TB and f body injectors, you'll also need to add an IAC and change your MAF and IAT sensors.
At this stage, I would suggest buying an aftermarket harness and ecu from the same source. Have them set it up for what you'll need in terms of sensors, etc.
