Default Steering Column Grease

I have torn my column apart to clean and replace all of the bearing in preparation of installing a Steeroids system and am ready to begin the reassembly. I have look just about everywhere and was wondering what type of grease/oil do I need to use when putting everything back together? Thanks for the help.

I'm using synthetic wheel bearing grease. It never melts and is great for bearings.
I've never seen any suggestions anywhere though.

I've used Valvoline synthetic. Mobile 1 seperates and the oil part leaks out, don't like it.

Send a PM to Jim Shea and ask his advice. He worked at Saginaw and knows what was used originally. 'Off the cuff' I would suggest using the synthetic grease for the reasons mentioned above. But, there may be better choices and Jim would know if that is the case.
