Installed my new test pipe form muffler tech on sat. Install was straight forward really no problems other than getting the nuts and bolts to break loose. I just sprayed them down really good a couple times with wd-40 on Friday nite and they came off fairly easly. Let me tell you this thing makes a lot of difference performance and sound wise. Car is more responsive to throttle and it just runs better, & gets better gas milage and the sound is really deep and throaty now. Almost sounds like true duals. But I couldn't be more happier. I would recommend anyone with an 81 to make this change if you can get away with it. Its so easy to install that If you want to ever put your cat back on, say for testing or Blommington it would be a breeze. Probably one of the easiest projects that I have done on my car. Anyway just thought I would let the guys that are contemplating making this change know that I would do it again in a hart beat.
 One question. My cat has square flanges on the inlet and outlets. Did your test pipe come with them to make it bolt up. This would be for an 82. I want to rid my car of the cat. What is Muffler tech's website address?
Thanks
Yes it comes with the flanges and all the hardware that you need to install. I am extremely happy with the result. Can't say enough, and the price was right. I think it was $43.00 to the door.
I just bought my 81 on Saturday 4/6/02 & it had a bad exhaust. I stoped on the way home to a local custom muffler shop & they installed true duals. This car sounds great.
