Default 79 LS3 E-throttle question

Ok, heres the deal: swapped a LS3/4L65E into a 79 vette. Original setup was a MEFI4 harness & ECU from Turn-key(cable throttle) the setup sucked a##, went to a GMPP harness & ECU, only it is a drive by wire throttle body. Has anyone done this? After removing original gas pedal & holding up new one it looks like it could be a nightmare to make a braket that will make it look right. Thx.

Search the LS1 swap thread at the top of the page. I know some people have used the DBW setup. I have the cable throttle (that I prefer) so I can't offer any advice on the DBW throttle.

It might help if you were more specific about the problems that you had with the cable setup.

Sorry I was maybe a bit vague. The problem wasn't with the t.b., it was more of the whole MEFI4 setup running batch fire ign & inj. not to mention O2's didn't go into closed loop until above 2K-- mileage was crap. GMPP only offers their kit w/ DBW.
