I went with the recommendations folks made to go with the pilot bushing from AutoGear and it went in like a dream. (As an fyi, the folks at AutoGear recommended soaking it overnight in W30 motor oil.)
Question: How far do you press the bushing in? Does it go flush at the front, or do you seat it as far in as it will go?

I think all of the literature say to drive it in flush. I replaced my pilot bushing with another pilot bushing (not the bearing) and drove it in leaving about 1/16 out, just like the one that came out.
I do suggest that if you are not using a bearing driver, (I did not, btw), check the ID with a drill bit or something after driving it in and make sure the id of the bushing did not mushroom in a little. I got pretty good at taking the 4 sp in and out trying to figure out why the tip of the 4sp would not go into the bushing. . The *@$#^!!! bushing had mushroomed closed a few thousands. So, I reamed it out and finally got the 4sp to go in.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Do it flush with end..glad to hear the install went easy and soaking it in oil..are you the one that posted questions a week or so ago about this..if so you got great advice and you wont have a problem with that bearing for a long time to come..can I ask what clutch you are installing? I am always curious as to what people chose..
Awesome.
