Default Flywheel stuck to crankshaft!

Finally got to the flywheel to put on a new aluminum one, but the old iron flywheel will not come off! All bolts are off, but it appears to be stuck on the end of the crank. Tried hitting from the front with a rubber and steel hammer- it won't budge. Put some PB Blaster around the crank. There is still that alignment? roll pin in the flywheel. Don't see any way to put a puller on it. This original iron wheel was put on this new engine about 2 years ago. Don't recall that it was a sob to get on the crank back then. Help? Thanks.

Got a torch where you can warm it up a little? Propane *might* work. You can warm it up as much as you can and then spray the penetrant. That will often let it seep in there better.

Heat may help get the lube in there..just don't get it all that hot or a new rear main will be on the list..can't hit it all that much cause it will knock out the bearings..so can you see where the "pin" is..line that up towards where the starter is..horizontal..if you have two good pry bars with a bend on the end not straight..pry on the back of the flywheel a little at a time on each side..they make small length bars if you are doing this on jack stands..not a fun place to be..just watch it when it does come loose and your head is underneath it!

I do not recall sbc or bbc having a pin or dowel

heat usually works, but if you can't do it

good air compressor ... cheap air chisel ... align chisel tip into ring gear teeth in a manner that would rotate flywheel about crank's axis.

I'm planning on a 15 lb. wheel in my 3000 lb. '71 w/ over 500 hp small block.

I did manage to get that old wheel off this a.m. Used a propane torch for a while and started tapping the back with a hammer on 2 sides and it started walking its way off. Thanks again for the help guys!
