I was hoping someone would have some info or experience with the install of a Streeroids rack & pinion kit in a C3 vette. I was thinking of doing this to clean up the old system. But other then talking to the company that just wants to sell it. I was hoping to get some feed back from someone that has installed one.

I did mine for <200 bux.....9 years ago, before any kids were out....
from anyone...but you need to have a welder buddy or DIY....
Several here have used them and the research I done seems that all were happy. I almost bought the Steeroids but after seeing the price of VBP's during christmas I bought it. Comes with a new GM rack. I have my body off of the frame so I can't give a satisfactory rating yet. I have bolted it in and that part is simple. Had to enlarge two holes to get the bolts in but that is not uncommon. The hardest part is getting the angle's right on the steering joints to the rack. Takes a little time to get them set right without being in a bind. In a bind it will not steer well. I have read that some who run headers have to dimple one of them but I am staying with the rams horns. And you do not need a welder with the VBP racks. I would not think you need one for the steeroids. All bolt on.
got one in my 72 works well after I got the air out of the rack. side note the only down side is if your suspention is worn in the front you will notice with this rack. oh get a new lower bearing on your steering colume its a easy instal unleas its rusted on. if this bearing is worn you wont be abot to get the slop out of the U-joints linkage and you will get the same dead zone as your old stuff.
