For those who saw my last post about a flexing PS pump I discovered an amazing fact today: If all the mounting bolts are tight the pump won't flex.
Do have a question about the pulley, how much run out is allowable? Sons vert pulley wobbles far more than I think it should. Also appears the pulley is held in place by a nut, not pressed on. If so can the pulley be changed without removing the pump?

The old style pump with a taper shaft and nut can be removed without removal from the car.
