I have a 1975 stingray and My parking brake light will not go off. I have checked the cables and they all are working correctly. I have also replaced the Parking Brake sensor switch in the center console. the light still will not go off. Any suggestions?
Have you had any brake work done....?
If so , your brake proportioning valve might have to be reset.
If not could be switch in console at base of brake handle has to be adjusted.
Pull the connector off of the proportioning valve switch. It's mounted to the frame under the M/C. If the light go out, then you may need to bleed the brakes.

That's going to be the easiest way to determine if the problem is in the parking brake or the hydraulic brake system.
It was the proportion valve. I had parked the car on a steep hill (nose facing down hill) when the light was triggered and I guess the valve closed. I reset the valve by pressing hard on the brake, and the light went off.
