Default Carburetor replacement
I stripped out the inlet to the fuel and need to have it repaired. What is the thought about replacing OE carbs? Should I stay with OE or upgrade. If I upgrade what should I consider. It is a Carter quad on a 68 matching number car with a 327, 300HP.

Many auto part stores have, or can order, a repair kit for that stripped thread. It's sort of like a heli-coil kit, I believe. And that would be preferable to switching out carbs, IMO.

Found a local carb shop that will rebuild the carb and install heli-coil. thanks
