New Wheels, How Tall?
They fit the rear with no problems, sometimes the fronts rub.
245x60 fit the fronts with no problelms, if you don't mind running two different size tires.
I run 245 front and 255 rear.
Hope this helps.

A 255 X 60 X 15 is exactly the same as a 255 X 50 X 17.
27" diameter for both. Just go with a 50 series tire on the 17" wheel.
Of course, the sidewall of the 50 series tire will be 1" shorter than the 60 series tire.
And your AR TT ll's will be 8" x 17". with 4.75 bolt pattern and 4" backspace. I just bought this exact wheel and tire combo (like hundreds of other Forum members ) for my 80, thru Discount Tire. Install tomorrow!
18x8, 0mm offset, 5-4.75" pattern. Fits perfect, did not have to modify anything and it clears the steeroids system.
Tires are 255 45 18. Same height as the stock 255 60 15 that were on there before.
I tried some 17x9's with a 275 tire but it would not work in the rear without spacers or possible other mods. I don't like spacers for what I like to do with the car. I went through a few wheels to get everything to work right which you own after you mount a tire too... ya still have no clue what to do with random one wheels.
Pretty much if you go with 8" wide wheels with 0 offset you can run 15,16,17,18,19 inch tall wheels. I have seen some pics of 20's if that is your style... the shorter sidewall... you feel the bumps in the road more
The taller rim with less sidewall allows for better handling because of less tire sway. On an autocross event my stock tires sucked... they swayed to much. The softer and less side wall tires made a difference. I am going to road race my 80' with the wheels/tires I have in april so I am all about better handling and less tire sway.
