Default Transmission problem? Any help?

C3 350 1975, looks like TH400.I get the car few years ago, did not tried it. I was restoring interior and exterior, for 2 years. Now I changed all the oils, rebuild the holley 600 carb, and start the car. The problem is when I shift the car in to gear, R or D, car jumps end the engine stops. But if I put the gear faster and release the brake car starts to drive fine. I did not tried to drive faster and did not check the gear shifting. After 15-20 mins, when engine get warm, when you shift in to gear from park engine not stops every time just idle get slower.
Looks like all oil and filter changes also was made before I get the car, because oils and filters was fresh, but I redone it one more time to be sure.
Is it problem with the carb, or trans, or I have to drive the car a bit longer?
Thanks for any help and sorry for my English.

Sounds more like timing and carb adjustments than trans issues. Check your timing, and make sure your idle speeds (both fast idle and normal idle) are where they should be.
