Default vega convertor ?

I still have a vega convertor in my 69 350 /th400 from back in the 70's . Does anybody still do this? Its not been driven in a couple of years.I'm in the mood to get it up and running again mainly suspension issues. but do I need to think about getting rid of it . We used to drag race it some "many years ago" and it did launch good. I can't remember my gear maybe 370

40 years ago they didn't have many hot rod parts manufacturers. So if you wanted a small lightweigh highest stall convertor availiable you installed the little 8 inch "GM" one.

They are really pretty worthless by todays standards. But it might be over 4000 rpm stall in a powerful motor.

I'm sure technology has changed a alot in 40 years just didn't know if anybody else had tryed this seems like orginal convertor was huge. I 've got to get the rear end back up to speed and hoping I can up date the convertor as well.The 350 has mild mods but unless you're on it a little it feels like the tranny slipping when taking off

They were the trick thing back in the 70's and 80's, Slipped a lot...but I've seen some awful fast cars with them.
