tech questions
hey guys I am working on a design project for my mech design class and was wondering if anyone knew the measurements for the camshaft in my 1982 vette or similar engine camshaft specs.
1) I need the prime circle radius of the cam- the regular radius of the lobe
2) the lift produced by the ovular shape of the cam-
3) beta, the duration of cam action
4) cam width, the width of one lobe on the cam

Hi p,
I believe the engine in your car was designated as an L-83.
When I google' L-83 Corvette Cam I get some pretty good results but not everything you're asking. You might try looking too.
My bet is that the info you're looking for is only on the engineering drawings for the cam.
