I bought my ZZ4 turnkey from them last summer. Good price and service. I worked with Mark Lucicosky at Pace and he was very helpful.

hello friend, let me ask a question, is very noticeable change in L-48 engine 200 hp to 355 hp ZZ4 engine, I mean if it's a big change, I was thinking of buying a ZZ4, but worth so much money to bring an engine from USA to Spain ...

Thanks
I'll add my 2 cents. I did the swap, I had a good running L48 and installed a ZZ4 and yes there was a difference but I was not that impressed. If I were in your shoes and had to pay all that money for freight I'd get a motor that had more to offer than the standard ZZ4. The motor runs excellent and if want a nice smooth running motor I think it's a good choice.
Thanks for the reply friend, is an option I have in mind, if a lot of money, the engine would leave approximately 5000 dollars, over 2000 to bring it to Spain, was also considering a 383 engine with approximately the same cv but not in how many dollars it would cost.
By doing an engine change .... also change the automatic transmission? was thinking of a 700R4 ....
I think my situation may be somewhat different than others that have replied. My 82 had the original engine with around 135K mile and had never been rebuilt so it was “tired” so to speak. I think I did get a very noticeable increase in performance but for the way I drive (daily driver partly in town) the increased torque, 405 @3500 RPM vs. 285 lb-ft @2800, may be more noticeable than the horsepower. The car just accelerates harder at a lower RPM. I would do the same engine again for my purposes.
I ordered the stripped version from Pace (no intake, WP, flexplate, or balancer) since I was using my own for just over 3000. As someone said, they were very helpful.
