I just picked up a 383 from a friend of mine, this is what I know it has in it so far, still getting more info but I thought this might be a good start to gauge what HP it might have. I'll type it just as it's written on the sheet. Forgive me if there isn't enough info to do this, I have little idea what most of the motor technical stuff means :jester THANKS!
383 stroker
350 bored .030 over
Balanced-Blueprinted- all chambers ported
Forged 400 crank w/balancer

I already know this motor has big brass nuggets as it came out of his 67 coupe, he's an old fart and said it was too much for what he wanted.
Many thanks for the help! Was there anything I forgot that might have boosted the HP numbers? If it matters any I have a 700r4 and 3:54 rear. 398 isn't bad but I thought it would be a bit higher, although anything is better than the original 190 :D
That DD2000 graph was run with the listed sportman cfm levels. You stated porting. so they might be 30-50 hp higher. DD2000 is very biased towards big CFM flow on the exhaust side. Sportman heads have sub 200 cfm E flow numbers. So porting with multi angle or swirl polished valves can boost the numbers by allot:)
