Brake lights not working.

Brake lights not working.
Any ideas why the brake lights wont go on but the turn signals work fine? I also checked the switch at the pedal which seems to be working. Fuse panel is good....Arghhhhhh :confused:

It really sounds like it would be a switch problem, but you may want to check your wiring harness. At some point in its life, mine fell onto the muffler and a lot of wires burnt.

Check the bulbs. Maybe 1 element is burnt out. I also had a wire dangling that was touching the exhaust pipe & would cause an intermittant problem. Check for insulation failure in those spots. also sometimes just wiggling things around can loosen up debris that can cause bad grounding

I took the switch out of the equation by jumpering it. I tested 12.35 volts to one side of the switch. Arghhhhhh and it is a nice day. :confused:

Is there anything to do with the tail lights in the steering column? I found one wire not connected from my steering column harness. It is a ground wire. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
