Default quick ac question

I changed over to R134 about two years ago and I wanted to check the pressure. So I bought a gauge. When I check it the car when it was not running it reads on the yellow ( which is ok on the gage ) but if I check it when its running its reads "0". So my question is how do I read it. I was a smarty pants and threw the directions away without reading how to check it.

OK, I think '75 had a A6 compressor, so thats the long heavy one,...the best compressor there ever was bar none, except for weight....
at any rate that zero reading means you are lo on freon....just put more R134 in, you may be fine, no sense in getting all hyper about some lossed, untill determining how bad they are....
