1980 slip yoke
Hi All
I have a 1980 with a grove on the slip yoke where the seal rides that appears to be leaking. I have replaced the seal but i still have a small leak. Is there a sleeve i can buy to put over the yoke to make a smooth surface for the seal to ride on? I am leaving for Afghan in 30 days and i need to get this fixed fast before I go.

I'm not sure if they make a Speedie Sleeve for that or not. You might want to check with your local tranny shop. Be sure there's no up and down play in the yoke when its in the trans. If there is you tailhousing bushing is worn and it will keep leaking.
