what i did on my friends camaro was i drilled holes in the glass scoop (along the edges, then marked the holes onto the hood. drilled the hood. pop rivited the scoop on. and used a fiberglass reinforced body filler (marglass) to form the shape so there wouldnt be a sharp edge from the scoop to the hood.. then went over that with bondo.. and primed it, putty'd it, painted it

When I fixed a lower Quart. panel on a '69 camaro, I simply overlapped the area with mesh & resin.... (boy that resin is 'sticky') then 'floated' bondo over it before sanding. It worked but the car was for 'resale' so I'm not sure if it lasted. :eek:
From what I have seen whenever you bond fiiberglass to metal with resin products they don't last very long without cracking. I would use one of the new 2 part epoxies that are available to bond it together. Craig :seeya
