Default 74 Fan Shroud? Help!

I understand I have to place the shroud in first and then put the radiator in. Can I put it in with the extension installed? Thanks Ralph

Hang the shroud loose in there , put the radiator loose in where it needs to go, manhandle it a little to be sure you can fasten everything, Youll see how they align up togeather where theyre supposed to go.

If you have A/C, you will likely have to remove the shroud first, then the radiator. It's a real PITA. You need 2 people and should remove the hood first for good access to everything. If the shroud is particularly difficult, you could make a through-cut at the bottom of the part on the centerline. That will allow you to fold the part inward to get more clearance. Once removed, drill some 1/8" holes in appropriate spots on either side of that cut and make a little aluminum 'joiner' plate to put below the area that was cut (drilled to match the holes in the shroud. Once reinstalled, use pop-rivets to put it all back together. [I really wish I had done this!!!!]. Install the extension piece once the shroud is loosely in place but radiator hasn't been installed. Good luck!!

I think it took me longer to put in the shroud then putting in the motor!! It will go, I did it by using a bungee cord to pull the radiator support toward the nose and then working the shroud into place. Did have the hood off, side note if you do take off your hood mark it so you can get it back in the same place. Mine was off just a hair and when I shut it took me 2 weeks to get it back open.
