for the 10" long, I think you have to get ones for the C4
http://www.vbandp.com/C4-Corvettes/S...y-1984-96.html
...however those might hang down below the rim level, and cut a grove in the road if you have a flat

8" might be the thing http://www.vbandp.com/C2-C3-Corvette...2-1997-05.html

Also make sure you have room between the spring ends and the inside of the tire when installing longer bolts.

You can get your bolts at any good hardware store.. I put on 8 in bolts and im all the way to the bottom with the nut.. I wouldnt go much more than the 8in bolts. any longer tham you start having shaft and spring issues...also make sure to have an allignment after you make that big a change..

Thanks Bud, i was out looking at Corvette America and they call it a 1963-1982 Rear Spring Hanger Kit. And it's $46.99, So my buddy at the shop told me i needed more than just your avg bolts from Lowes, that you needed some heavy duty bolts , think he called it an 8 or 10 cast bolt but i could be wrong... So by replacing the 6inch bolts with 8 inches, does that mean i can lower the car two inches in the rear?

BTW... mind posting a close up of your car? that's the look i'm looking for

Anyone know the thread size on the factory bolts? Is it a 1/2" or a 9/16" fine thread bolt? Grade 5 or grade 8?

What does Grade 8 mean? Strength of the bolt? Can someone post some pix of the longer bolts installed?

Yes strength.
You can identify bolts by the different grades when you go to the local hardware store. Grade 5 bolts have 3 marks or lines on the head that are in the shape of a “Y”. Grade 8 bolts have 6 marks on the head.

You also want nuts that have the nylon insert. This will help prevent the nut from backing off.

You can buy just the nuts and bolts, and not the kit from vendors ie.: http://www.vbandp.com/C2-C3-Corvette...5C%5C%22+bolts

Thats the best place to get them, tractor place or a good big hardware store. I have taken 1 coil out of a vbp 550 spring to get my front as low as it is.. I need the rear to sit just a tad lower now.. im running 255-60-15 x4....

here are a few shots...

But this is it today..

Thanks on the color.. Not sure what its called but I like it.... I wanted the red to pop.. and I think I got it... =)

My front is slammed with the coil out,,,, and with the 255-60 i can barley get a finget under the fender... but in a few thousand miles no rub at all.. now i just have to get the rear to sit right.. im off just a little on the rear. Like I said I may go to a 9in bolt.. and oly use a little of it.. but a 10 in is just to much..

Well don't go out to Tractor Supply and buy any bolts to fix yours, They lasted about 15 minutes until they popped into... Should have known it was to good to be true!... Called Norm at Wilcox and ordered the kit today

Nope they didn't, I went by the store today and they admitted they sold me the wrong bolts... What do you mean you've had your 9.00 bolts in for years?

Curious what were the markings on top of the bolt. How many lines or marks on them?
