Lug Nuts - Torque Value

Probably been asked before - but I want to be sure.

What's the nominal torque value on the regular steel lugs nuts for the stock C3 Rallye Wheels?

And are you sure?

For that matter - is it in the AIM even?

-W (wants to get the trim on them today)

According to another (1971) thread says AIM 70-80 - 75 nominal.

My 1968 AIM says 55-75.... Hmmmm?

My 1982 GM Corvette repair manual says; Steel rims should be Torqued 80 # ( eighty Pounds )

1971 AIM says "60-80 ft-lbs."; Chevy Chassis Service Manual says "75 ft-lbs." for Corvette (all other Chevys are 70 ft-lbs.).

I set the wrench to 75 and pulled a hair past the click. That outta do it.
