Leaf spring question
I'm rebuilding the rear end in my '79. I've looked in all the parts catalogs I have (Zip, Ecklers, and Corvette Central) and no one seems to sell leaf spring laminate strips for the 79. Can I use an earlier year? It doesn't seem likely since the widths are different. Does anyone know where I can get the laminate strips.
Has anyone replaced the strips? A new leaf spring with the strips sells for about $150 and I'd consider paying that if replacing the strips was a painful job. Any help is appreciated.

I bet there is a local Spring shop in Dayton, OH. that has just what you need, & if you have it out, they will even do it, have them check the spring while it is out of the car. Have a great one. Gene
