Default Hooker side pipe mufflers

So I'm running open headers right now with hooker side pipes and I got about 320-340 hp. Should I run mufflers in my pipes or keep them wide open. I was looking at sweet thunder 2.5" side cannons or the hooker mufflers that are also 2.5" inlet/outlet and are straight through. They claim that the hooker mufflers produce "23% more power than open headers." What do you guys recommend? Should I stick with open headers? Price isn't really an issue. Thanks.

Here's a link to the hooker header mufflers...

While I don't have any data to back this up, I have been using STS mufflers/baffles. They have a "open header" sound and minimal restriction. Excellent sound and awesome performance.

Hooker Max FLows are the best sounding by far...and I've tried just about everything including the 'curly wonder baffles'.
But if you hang out here long enough and you'll probably be drinkin' the Kool-Aid too

Hooker Maxflows. A guy on here named ZL1Power did back to back dyno runs a while back with open headers with no side tubes vs side tubes and Maxflows and was running a 600 RWHP Big block. I think there was no difference and they sound great.

This comes up constantly. Based on what many say the STS baffles "un capped" offer the least restriction (I don't have any personal experience). It would be really nice to have some "real world" numbers on the dfference between the STS - Hooker Max Flows - Sweet Thunder 2.5s and 2.75s. Then you could decide what you like based on the trade offs between performance, sound, and price.

I've asked several times in past if anyone might post a clip of how MaxFlow inserts sound, particularly on a BB/C3, but don't recall ever hearing one of them. IMHO the STS's sound a bit tinny to my ear. Unless MaxFlow's sound better (to my ear) I'm planning on 2.5" Sweet Thunders next time around, but not married to that decision. Can someone finally post a clip, please. dB readings would be icing on the cake.

"in2fun" and I are running the largest "Sweet-Thunders" ... You can go to their website and hear them on other cars ... I had the stock Hookers when we finished the new motor install... Really like the sound ect of the ST's !!!
