So I just bought a #340 composite rear spring and installed it but my car sits funny now. There is about a ½" difference between the left and right rear tire and wheel well. Its the right side that is sitting high. And yes both left and right nuts and bolts are even. My car does need an alignment and is going in today. Could that fix my problem?
Yes Sir; I would like to know what you find out & what type of spring did you buy. Also what length of bolts did you use on the ends, did it set to high, or normal height??? Thanks Gene
Simple fix! You level the car not the nuts on the spring bolts.
Not to sound dense, but how do I level the car? Lol. I rebuilt this car from the ground up and have no idea how to do that. Actually, come to think of it my right half shaft is on a slight angle and the left one is level. Im hoping its nothing serious...

You adjust the spring bolt nuts up or down to get the the wheel well lips to measure the same. It does not matter if one bolt is showing 5 more threads than the other
So I've been under my car for the last two hours and I've found out what's wrong. I bought offset trailing arms for my wider tires and turns out that the rear spring bolt bracket on the right is welded a ½" HIGHER than the left! Btw I bought these on corvette central. Now i need a new trailing arm! Wtf?!

If I killed every body that screwed me on exact match aftermarket parts that did not fit, there would be a lot less idiots still out there breeding
My first major screwing was my Doug Thorley V-8 Vega conversion kit back in the 70's. It made my life suck for over a month!
Sorry to here that............... a R&R of a trailing arm is a bunch of man hours
Yes Sir; I think the first thing I would do is to get hold of Corvette Central. If you start repairing a screwed up part, they are no longer Libel for that part. I think it would be better to buy a set of longer bolts & adjust each side different. to level it out, before I changed the arm. ( That is if I'm understanding the problem correctly.) What brand of offset arm is it??? Never ends, aftermarket parts can be a real problem. Sorry to hear about that. Have a great day. Gene
