Paint chipped off front bumper
I made a dumb mistake in my garage, I bumped up against the concrete with the nose of the car and now a piece of paint came off my front bumper. Probably 2 inches wide.
What is the best way to deal with this? This is not a show car but I want it to look nice and can't afford a complete new paint job right now (even though I would love one).
I have a body guy and told him I have that and a couple other marks on the car. I asked him if he could touch them up, he said he could but if he doesn't do the whole car it won;t look perfect. That might be OK for now.
What would you recommend I do?
The car is white.
Can you do it yourself? Yes. But unless you have past experience, it's unlikely that your repair will be 'seamless'. It boils down to dollars and sense (or, cents, if you choose). You can have a poor quality repair that is a low dollar DIY; or you can spend a few bucks and have it look pretty good.
A "spot" repair is usually not very expensive and, being a solid color, will look good. DO NOT have them paint the whole bumper. If the shop you go to will only do the entire bumper, check at some other shops.
