Default Installing Cylinder heads

hey all I am going to try and install my cylinder heads this weekend. I have done the procedure in school before but the only thing I am not sure about is which bolts go in to the water jacket and require teflon sealant? anyone know the answer to this?

It wont hurt to use sealant on all of them. Do it wright the first time, you dont want to redo it.

Hello,

Most the information I get is off the internet and youtube to get a visual on how things are installed. After that I go to this forum for verification before I do anything.

This video might be helpful!

If you really want to know, use one of the hand vacume pumps and pull a vacume on each bolt hole. The drilled through holes won't hold a vacume.
I seal the drill through holes.

Non-hardening Permatex #2 has been used in this application for decades. I was told way back when, that the reason to coat all head bolt threads whether they go into the water jacket or not, is to get uniform pull when they are torqued. It sure sounded reasonable.
