What bracket is this?
Got my engine back from the builder with a bag of miscellaneous parts, senders, and brackets including this one. Figured them all out but this one. Please identify for me. 1972, automatic, small black all original. Thanks.

Look like Distributor Hold Down Clamp but I don't think it belong to your car.

Hi Don,
I agree that it looks like a distributor clamp.
But not from your 72 350 engine.
At least they cleaned it up very nicely!

Holds the modulator in place and without it the modulator will blow out and transmission fluid will spray out like a fountain. Dont ask how I know.
