Default Dash Pad Removal

Ok guys, I told you I would be full of questions. I'm trying to remove the dash pad to my '74 coupe, to access the speakers. I removed the screws in the lower face of the dash pad, and it's loose. Am I missing a step or does it require a little muscle.

I think you need to remove the 2 screws on the A pillar and the 3 screws on each side of the top dash and the 2 screws at the top of the gauge panel, you do not have to actually remove the dash pad. If you remove the 12 screws across the top of the panel that I just mentioned you can squeeze in there and replace the speakers!
