Lock Problem
Hello Everyone! I've always wanted a late 70's corvette and now I have one! she's a bit of a project but she's a beauty. A 1978 corvette. The only problem is that someone rebuilt the car a while ago and it has a few things missing. I love a little challenge and a slight project but I'm stuck on something. Any mechanism that you can think of that involves the door locks is missing. It's all through power locks and a key from the outside obviously... but there is nothing there. There is a key slot from the outside but it doesn't attack to a lock, slides, power lock switch... it's all empty. I was wondering if anyone knew what all the parts are, where to get them, and a "how to" on putting them all in. that's for all the help!

Get youself an AIM manual, it will show you all the parts required. Also a service manual for your year, these will both help you with any problems you might face. You can also look at alot of the aftermarket suppliers catalogues, on line to get pictures of alot of the parts and how they go together.
