Th 350 autobox - workings?

I did mistaken put it into 1st today, like you say it didnt engage 1st tho, but the gearbox feels like smoother between gear changes now, but before changes used to be more sharper, you could feel the change, because of the shift kit, have I damaged anything??

If the shift kit was done properly, when you placed it in first, It should have gone into first no matter what speed! The rear end would of likely locked up due to the drastic change. Since yours did not do that, I don't believe you have a shift kit. IF you do then it was not installed correctly or it was not done for that kind of shifting.
