i got my first vette after having many f bodies. wondering how many bolts hold on the front clip.
This sounds like a loaded question..
Actually.. the front clip is glued to the firewall and cowl without screws. The inner fenders bolt to the core support, and that is about it.. so.. my answer would be six.
Hi i,
A 69.... VERY nice.
It sounds like you have quite a project.
Do you realize there's no need to remove the front clip in order to replace the frame? To replace the steel frame for the body, (birdcage), yes, but the frame, no.
Good luck as you get going.
Regards,
Alan

Congrats on the new car by the way... And Alan is correct, unless the A pillars are rusted out there body will come off with the front end on.
Here's a link to my '69 body off (so far): http://www.islandtimeinvestor.com/iti/vette/
Do a search on body lift, there are many good posts available. step by step info is available online in several places. Where are you located? Look for a local Corvette club there, you might even find a helping hand.
Good luck
