Default March UD pulleys

Ok I have bought some March UD pulleys in the past for other vehicles with no problems. Now I bought some of the corvette specific for my 1977 vette and the crank pulley won't line up. I know corvette pulleys are differant than short or long water pump styles. My pulleys on my corvette are original.

The problem is the power steering pulley(stock) doesn't line up with my new crank pulley, the new crank pulley sits out about 1/4" too far. If I put the stock crank two pice pulley on it lines up, so I know the balancer is seated. Also the new pulley is seated to the balancer fully, you can see the print of the inner balancer hub on it. And the part number on the pulley is correct 5051. Power steering stock and never off or moved, belt was cut as I knew I would need a shorter one. Haven't put other pulleys on yet.

I just want to see if any other C3 owners had any trouble with the crank pulley not lining up.

To make sure they are correct, you need to get two cans of soda. Sit the pullys on top of the cans side by side to see if they match up. When I did the one's on my 77 I had the same problem. I actually had the pully backwards. Once turned around it fit perfect.

Well the March pulley is one piece, so I know that one can only go on one way. The two piece stock one is together how it was on the car. Still thx I'll try messing with the stock two & compare them on cans like you said maybe it got flipped around from the factory and the power steering was lined up improper?

Worked they are the same, I'm an idiot The differance diameters and checking it last night I musta been too tired, rechecked today. Guse the balancer isn't seated all the way or it was always off. Tried to push it on further but my new install tool broke, so off to get another. Thx for the help
