I ordered a car cover (MaxTech) from Corvette America last weekend. They told me it would be delivered today here in Canada. The chocolate truck was here this afternoon with the cover. What more can I say except kudos to Corvette America! http://www.corvetteamerica.com/
As long as we tell the truth about our experiences, it will work as a strong force to increase customer service and quality in these vendors. The forum members here are smart enough to make vendor buying decisions after reviewing the feedback they gather here.
The demand for parts and the accompanying dollars will always be strong enough to sustain a good number of suppliers.
We want the bad vendors to feel the pain if they screw their customers!!! In fact, if you've been screwed, you owe it to your fellow forum members to wave the red flag :smash: and forewarn unsuspecting members.
Honest, fair vendors can still make plenty of profit. Why support the dishonest ones??? Worse yet, how would you feel if a forum member here got killed, or killed someone after buying brake calipers from that vendor in Florida who has been selling defective brake parts?
I have never ordered from Corvette America, but will probably do so soon. I order from Rik's, Zip's, and Mid America. Have had excellant service from all of them. Have ordered from Ecklers a couple of times as well with complete success. I like to try to spread my parts orders out to a number of different vendors as long as their service is good. I buy enough that there's plenty to go around.
Vendors are just like corvette owners themselves, some good and some bad. We as members here or in any corvette orginization share our expierences with each other and they are only that, Our Expierences! Sure there are lots of vendors who I have bought from and to whom I can honestly say have been more than fair with me and whenever I get the chance I recommend them to each and every one of you folks. But vendors are business people and we all have some buisness expierence in out everyday dealings and we all know what is right and what is wrong. If I see or expierence a foul deal I say so. If I wrong then the vendor can contact me and prove to me I'm wrong, Just like in everyday life. There are without a doubt, Many, many more really decent vendors here and out in everyday life and I have met so many of them that I could not post enough good about them. They DO deserve our continued buisness and support. I had one bad expierence with a vendor which is water under the bridge and it's going to stay that way. I won't ever consider doing business with that company, EVER! But if some people have done business with them and it tured out good, Great. I don't wish trouble on anyone but we do owe each other the simple good deed to share our own expierences with each other, like we would if we meet at a car show or just having a cup of coffee with each other. That is why this is a neighborhood, and we all share in each others life here. I would like to say I wish my situation was different, but what is, is!
I've had nothing but the best of luck with Corvette America. Pretty much my entire new interior came from them and I used their headrest recovering service. They did an excellent job. That reminds me, I never posted pics about that, I'll do that today.
FYI, when you order interior parts from the other vendors, Corvette America is where they usually end up coming from.
I've ordered from Zip, Corvette America, Al Knoch, Mid America, Ecklers and Summit. All good experiences so far. I haven't bought that much, just spreading it around. I liked the quality of the Corvette America interior parts. I was a little miffed with my latest Mid America order. I ordered chambered exhaust, studs, speakers, touch-up paint and a key fob. The confirmation said, "We got your order and we have everything in stock except the Chambered Exhaust, Studs and Speakers." Actually, it's pretty funny, and it will give me time to get up the nerve to install the exhaust myself.
