well - if you consider custom cars (especially custom performance) the ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE VETTE will be Merlin's 1500+ HP Vette. Even the Lingenfelter Vette would only see Merlins exhaust....

Merlins is absolutely THE most bad butt Stingray out there..probably the most bad butt Corvette..period. There's no doubt in my mind that he will run 9's with slicks. He might even see the low 8's high 7's. Now that I think about it my Auto Shop teacher is running 8.90's in the Super Gas with a 700 HP 454. I think Merlin can dip into the 8.90's with eeez. Considering weight to power and sheer torque of that motor. I would be more worried about busting things than running anything. But..lets say everything holds...he gets a good launch, hits ALL the shifts and the end of the torque curve..I'd say with right temp and pressure he'll run 9.5@140. Tune it and get more used to it..i'd say 8.9 or so..but, that's after getting used to driving a 1,000hp car. 11 is getting pretty damn fast. 9-8 is INSANE.... :crazy:
